The Build

The Story
For years, the building next to us on St. Clair was a strip club called The Velvet Rope, on a street some people called "strip club alley." On the weekends it was chaos. Most people saw a place to avoid.
We saw something else.
In 2023, Cove City Church bought the building out of foreclosure. The same walls that once kept people out are becoming a place that invites them in: an event space, a coffee shop, and a job resource center for our neighborhood.
This has never been about a building. It is about what a church can be when it looks past its own four walls and asks a simple question. How can we be a light in a dark space?
God did not bring us this far to leave us hanging. But we cannot finish it alone.
